RPI Student Housing

This project transforms an existing 1962 hotel and banquet facility into a state of the art college dormitory for 300+ students. The building renovations are to include total replacement of the existing exterior wall system of the four story portion of the building. The new exterior wall will have much improved R-values, energy efficient windows, totally transforming the facades. Existing electric and heating systems are being upgraded and replaced. The renovated building will be completely wired for today’s technology needs. The existing one story banquet facility will be converted into classrooms, study areas, and dining facilities for students. The estimated cost of this project: $10,000,000. Estimated completion date: January 2009.
